Wellington Institute of Technology is seeking a Lecturer who is passionate about IT education and has a focus on security and software development, for a permanent full-time position in our Bachelor of Information Technology (Cyber Security) and Graduate Diploma in Information Assurance and Security programmes.

The role will provide the successful applicant with an opportunity to be part of a committed team who prepare our graduates for careers in the industry, with a focus on the technical and professional skills needed for an IT practitioner in current and future environments.

This position is based at the Petone campus but may also include teaching into our Postgraduate programmes based in Wellington City, or other campuses by arrangement.

The applicant must have:

• Recent teaching experience in tertiary IT education
• A relevant Post Graduate qualification
• A commitment to Te Tiriti O Waitangi
• A willingness to work as part of a flexible and collaborative team
• Demonstrated knowledge / experience within the security and software development domain
