Kaiawhina

We are on the search for someone to step into our Kaiawhina positions, to be based in our Weltec Campus in Petone.  Ability to move between campuses and work at other locations as required

These roles report to the Manager Ākonga Engagement, Wellbeing and Health within the Learner Pathways and Support Directorate.

We are looking for effective communicators, preferably with an understanding and competence in Tikanga and Te Reo Māori, good institutional linkages, ability to direct and link manuhiri to the right part of the Institutions, Link ākonga to the right service.

Relationship management skills and strong administrative skills will be required to ensure engagements are captured and actions are followed up. It is highly desirable to have whakapapa links or relationships with Iwi/Māori/Mana whenua.
