Programme Manager - IT

Permanent, Full-Time Role

Wellington Institute of Technology and Whitireia Polytechnic is seeking a Programme Manager who is passionate about IT education and has a focus on supporting and leading the quality provision of education, for a permanent fulltime position leading our IT programmes at our WelTec Petone campus.

The role will provide the successful applicant with an opportunity to be part of a committed team who prepare our graduates for careers in the industry, with a focus on the technical and professional skills needed for an IT practitioner in current and future environments.

This position is based largely at the Petone campus but may also include work with our programmes based in Porirua and Wellington City, or other campuses by arrangement.

The applicant must have:

• A recognised tertiary qualification at Bachelors level or above in IT or an IT related discipline
• Strong leadership and applied management skills
• Demonstrated expertise in academic planning
• A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
• A willingness to work as part of a flexible and collaborative team
