About the role | Te kaupapa

Right now we are after a Tutor to become a part of our institutions supporting our vision and values based at Porirua campus.  A tutor who is passionate about developing Youth Work education in our Trades, Diploma and Bachelor programmes.  All programmes are designed to develop an awareness of the knowledge, skills and wellbeing within in social services setting. Drawing on topics that impact youth culture and identity such as Te Tiriti o Waitangi, Risk, Ethics, family, whanau and community, intentional relationships, group work, research and workplace learning.

This position is based at the Porirua campus and will provide the successful applicant with an opportunity to be part of a team committed to youth work education and workforce. 

Ideally you will have

• Degree in youth work or in a related discipline

• Specialist knowledge of a range of theories relevant to the youth field;

• Practice experience
• Adult teaching qualification or equivalent
• Working knowledge of, Education ICT systems (Moodle, Artena, APlus+)  or similar, or the ability to quickly adapt to these types of systems
