Fixed-Term Part-time – Teaching in China
(October–November)

We are warmly inviting expressions of interest from capable and dedicated engineering educators for a fixed-term engagement at our Partnership Institute in China. This is a wonderful opportunity to share your practical expertise and deliver core engineering courses as part of a collaborative international academic partnership.

About the role

This five-week engagement involves reviewing teaching resources and delivering a proposed 120 total contact hours on-site in China, encompassing a balanced mix of lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions.

You will deliver two foundational engineering courses:

·  Mechanical Materials and Heat Treatment

·  Electrical/Electronics Fundamentals

Key Responsibilities

You will review and thoughtfully adapt existing teaching materials to ensure they align with a concise, four-week delivery format. During the on-site delivery, you will guide students through the scheduled teaching hours, clearly communicate learning objectives, maintain accessible weekly office hours, and provide constructive, encouraging feedback. You will also assist with maintaining attendance and grade records, participate in institutional briefings, and kindly provide a final course report reflecting on cohort performance and outcomes.

Requirements

·  A Master’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline

·  Demonstrated teaching or tutoring experience within the tertiary education sector, or significant and relevant industry experience

·  A demonstrable commitment to fostering positive student outcomes

·  A flexible, patient, and culturally adaptable approach to communication to navigate occasional language differences

·  Availability for the full five-week engagement, including travel to China for the October–November delivery

What We Offer

In addition to the contract remuneration for your preparation and teaching, you will receive comprehensive logistical support for your international delivery. This includes fully covered return international flights, suitable accommodation for the duration of the on-site delivery, and daily living allowances.
