About the role | Te Kaupapa

This technician role is pivotal to the smooth running of the nursing and paramedic programmes, delivered at our Whitireia campus and Animal Care and Vet Nursing, located at our Petone Campus. This role supports tutors by assisting with a wide range of tasks such as;

  • Setting up and taking down simulation labs for student learning
  • Proactive management of simulation resources 
  • Maintenance of simulation equipment
  • Supporting Tutorial staff in the delivery of scenarios
  • Raising and receipting purchase orders 

 The successful applicant will

  • be a multi-skilled team-player, friendly, proactive, flexible and adaptable, as this position will have a broad range of responsibilities across all areas of simulation education.
  • demonstrate an ability to deal with staff and students in a friendly, timely and professional manner. 
  • Have excellent communication and relationship management skills 
  • Demonstrate a strong customer service focus 
  • Show an ability to develop, implement and maintain administration processes
  • Be able to use the Microsoft Suite of applications

The primary location for this role will be at the Porirua campus.
